We feel that children work and play best within firm, reasonable limits, and that within these limits there should be a wide range of acceptable behaviors. We believe that discipline problems seldom occur if children are presented with an interesting, loving environment which meets their needs. Our program provides a balance between structured and non-structured activities, allowing your child time for personal choices and freedom of movement, thus preventing boredom and lowering stress.
We reinforce positive behavior whenever possible, and redirect children before problems occur. A child is occasionally removed from a group or an activity, for a period deemed best for them, to play by themselves. Just as it takes practice to learn how to use scissors, it also takes many tries and much practice to learn appropriate behavior.
